John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched a lot of people with his songs. A lot of them have roots in Colorado. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 singles following a performance with a small folk music bands. It was co-written by and performed by Bill Danoff. Danoff created the track along with Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver saw an early rendition immediately, he realized the song could be an instant hit.
