Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian TV presenter and actress. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz early. She was a lead actress in dramas on television as young as the age of 16. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. Downfall received nominations for an Oscar and won critical and commercial great success. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Over the years Alexandra has been involved in a variety of noteworthy national and international projects. These include British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as along with the French history mini-series Napoleon. She was also an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as and at the Cannes Film Festival.
